"Single Fixture" Greywater Systems are proposed to be removed from the emergency code exemption (Jan 2011). What does this mean for those who want to remove their shower and lavatories off the sewer line? Basically, it probably means you should consider having a system installed before the deadline or looking into a Permittable system just in case. The word is however, that the permitting process will become easier once the changes are made in Early 2011. The exemption for Laundry to Landscape Systems (L2L) will remain unaffected. Besides Laundry to Landscape (L2L) and Branch Drain Systems, we now offer and install Aqua2use systems. It connects easily from existing house plumbing to 1/2" drip irrigation or 1" HDPE tubing (similar to our L2L system). It is a solid solution for "Single-Fixture" systems (or fixtures of a common drain) that require pumping to irrigation zones that are sloping upwards from the greywater source (also can be adapted for gravity feed). The Aqua2use was first introduced in Australia in 2008 and since has proven itself in rigorous field conditions in New Zealand, Israel and the USA.
